Jean-Paul has begun work on a small series of GTOs to include one #4 Nassau battered, post race version (already sold), and 3 each #25 Sebring 12H. First a little more background on the subjects...

“Our new project is the GTO chassis 3589GT as it was raced in the US by the Rosebud Racing of Tom O’Connor. After a busy career in Great Britain in 1962, driven by Mike Parkes for Maranello Concessionnaires and several wins, it was sold to Rosebud Racing at the end of the year. First race in December in Nassau Bahamas with Innes Ireland at the wheel; then Daytona and Sebring in 1963. We’ll build the Nassau and Sebring versions. The kit is André-Marie Ruf # 60C.“

On it's wheels...

Very nice and accurate decals of Renaissance origin. Masking of the front headlights is home made, work of patience to put all those tiny strips in a realistic way!

Interiors, wheels and exhausts completed.

Characteristic of this GTO version, the louvers of the hood.

More updates from Jean-Paul today!

As usual, the vac-formed parts are cut separately for the best possible fit. Tape holding them while the 2 components epoxy glue is hardening.

This is a beautiful model and I am certain that the new owners will appreciate the work that Jean-Paul has done. I liked the current version of this car which appeared in the R&T magazine with Innes Ireland. For that reason, I commissioned Peter do build that version for me from an AMR base model. It would have been nice to own both versions.

This series has sold out. I will finish the thread as Jean-Paul shares more photos of his progress.

Very Nice project!

Besides wheels and chassis, the blue parts are the louvers for the hoods and the vent scoops on the front wings fitted at Sebring.

Not all GTOs had blue seats and bronze main interior color as you can see.

The first steps of the building are well known by our faithful forum visitors, so we can begin with the painted bodies. Just need to mention these needed a few modifications: rear wings lips removed, smaller radiator air intake and different arrangement of the front lights.
