Here are some pictures of the w.i.p. of my new model, a beautiful MPA Ferrari 512S Scuderia "Gelo" LM Essais 1970 built by Gualtiero Negri (he and his brother were the founders of MTL43 and now have a beautiful shop near Milano)

The main changes to the original kit are:

1)All the main lines of the model were retraced so as to make them more pronounced.
2)All the air intakes have been opened except for the two on the front that were only made deeper,on the rear bonnet the original resin air intakes have been replaced with AMR photoetched ones.
3)The original hinges were removed from the rear bonnet and the doors and replaced with photoetched ones.
4)The rims in the kit were resin "full" and very unrealistic and have been replaced with Bang / Tron rims, same for the tires that were dry and broken, this was definitely the hardest part of the work, rims have been widened and the central hole restricted, then the rear axle was replaced using a hollow tube of smaller diameter in order to lower the trim, finally the tires have been milled down to reduce the height making them similar to the original ones.
5)the rear lights have been replaced by pieces of plasticard shaped and painted black to which new lights have been applied.
6)replaced all the chrome parts in the kit except fuel caps with AMR pieces, changed the steering wheel, gear lever and gear selector and added seat belts with photoetched buckles (the ones in the kit were decals)
7)Added two additional little front "wings" (like in the picture of the real car) cutted from a sheet of brass and painted in gold, the tailpipes were drilled and made deeper (more ralistic)and added the little Bosica inflation valves on the rims...and...that's all ;-))

Sorry for my bad english and Hope you like it!!
