Posted - 07/03/2012 : 00:54:11 Hi Peter,
Your wheels indeed look a bit like the Speedlines on the 512 TR Speciale. Apparently they were also used for the 348 Competizione.
Check out the following link:

That burgundy TR is gorgeous! Although given a choice, I think I prefer the original TR wheels.
And Peter - shame on you! Fancy fitting BFG's on a Ferrari! They should have Pirellis... :o)

I broke many rules with that car ;) And it went to a new owner just before the great recession started...:( |

Not absolutely positively sure but they were an option on my 308 back in the 80's and the GTO had them [Speedline] so I assume they are the same maker just a different design.
But I can see a similarity [sorry for the poor photos]:

Hi Peter! No, these wheels were standard on the 512 TR Speciale. Like I said before, 15 cars were made for the Japanese market. But the wheels were also available for the 'normal' TR's. Best regards, Adrie.
So those would be factory spec Speedline wheels? Ferrari used them on many cars from that era. |

Posted - 07/01/2012 : 06:22:22 Hi Jono, Make Up anounces the 1994 512 TR Speciale which was made for the Japanese market. I believe 15 cars were made and they were metallic red. Check out their site! Best regards, Adrie. |

Posted - 06/30/2012 : 22:14:21 Interesting - I have never seen a 512TR with a body coloured engine cover before, unless the occasional one was specified that way by the owner or aftermarket.
I was kind of hoping for a dark metallic red one...
