Do you have any of EMC's pieces, George? Because if you do, I think you'd be inscribing that last sentence of yours in gold leaf :o)

(Oh, and just to make you feel good, their link has been on my site for a few years now...)

Anyway, regarding your earlier comment about "leading" companies, you are entirely correct - I really should have qualified my statement a little more clearly. When I used the word leading, I actually had in mind more the companies that are popular among most of us here, not necessarily the top handful of 'big name' brands. For example, I personally have very little interest in BBR's current program (this is not to say they are not producing nice stuff - because they are), as I find some of my excitement over what they had/have been intending to produce sadly tinged by the fact that those projects have remained on their 'future production' pages for years in favour of the more mainstream subjects they are currently producing (I understand the economics behind this and from that point of view, it makes sense). MR Collection are very much in the same boat as far as I am concerned.
On the other hand, I would be extremely eager to see into EMC's near-future plans. Someone else who has a lot of interesting subjects listed as being on the way, is Illario's new Chromes range - his Rolls Royce Silver Ghost "Doctor's" car nearly has me frothing at the mouth - although it has since mysteriously vanished from his site... (Hopefully this means its arrival is imminent - Illario promised me mid January)

The biggest problem I find, is that a lot of these outfits do make the effort to keep people informed about what their plans are, but because this information is scattered all over the Internet, I find it difficult to keep track of what interests me and often end up forgetting to check some of them regularly.

Of course, in this industry, making and keeping promises to produce various subjects are two very different things; one is easy to be enthusiastic about, while the other is a very difficult thing to achieve - over the time periods involved, collectors' tastes change, economies fluctuate, problems arise, etc, etc... and about the only news that ever has any hope of being guaranteed to be accurate, is 'news' about what has already happened.

Found it- d'oh. Good heavens, it's probably been there the whole time. Emoticon of monkey hitting self on head.

Eastern Models Collection. A thrill of a company. A leader in every way.

i don't work for EMC. Or sell them. or any of that sort of thing. They are not my buddies either. I just think very highly of their original work and place alot of value on it.

A company that is not a follower is EMC. I cannot find their website on your x.man site which I have been using as my source. Have I missed it? What are they up to next?

Does it only have to be from the leading companies? Can it also be from the follower companies too? I know, for example, that at least three of the biggest model companies and four smaller ones go to one small model company for inspiration and to see what they will be doing next. ;-)

Wouldn't it be good if we could get half a dozen people from the various leading model companies to post their respective news/announcements in here on a regular basis.
