Posted - 09/09/2012 : 17:14:43 I was in Munich a few weeks ago and contacted Jurgen Maehse. I have been following the articles on this forum by jaaz47 (thank you Jobst!)and have been so impressed, I wanted to see Jurgen's work for myself. As Jurgen speaks little English, and I speak no German, my son-in-law, Mark arranged the visit (with the help of Jobst)and was to be my translator. Unfortunately our meeting had to be rescheduled at the last minute, and Mark could not attend. So I was unable to ask all the questions I wanted, or understand any of the explanations I received! I can tell you that Jurgen was most enjoyable to meet and the work he has done is simply amazing. He has quite a unique approach to his models, I would describe it as an emphasis on engineering, so I think his models are unlike any other.

Posted - 09/10/2012 : 21:34:55 Short note from Juergen:
"I was pleased very much about Steves visit and his empathy for my models.
Many thanks for his words, I has felt, Steve is a great enthusiast of models."
Sorry, I was not well during these days. |
