Posted - 11/20/2012 : 18:23:00 So here we are in the "home stretch" [final hours]. These particular GTOs require a lot of attention with subtle differences between each one. Here you see them on there presentation bases getting ready for all of the photo etched and machined details...this will easily take a day of meticulous placement on these 3 examples.
Well worth it I think!

Posted - 11/18/2012 : 17:48:32 Some teaser photos of the cars sitting on the reference table on their wheels. In this phase I am adjusting the wheels and their respective ride heights. Also making sure all of the interior components fit properly after paint and assembly. Now I am very close with this final "dry fit". The windows will be installed next and then on to mounting them on their bases for final detailing.

Posted - 11/16/2012 : 08:22:56 Enhanced interiors include the textured dash. Bosica wheels replace the stock kit wheels and pe sheet with lots of nice little details ready for final assembly. Exhaust pipes are also treated with a black texture. The chassis plate is assembled and ready to hold it all together.
Monday I will reveal the completed models!

Posted - 10/27/2012 : 18:41:56 Base colors and decal work completed. Some minor touch up work and on to the clear coat and interiors will be assembled. Some of the number roundels are a tad small but not a big problem here...overall they look pretty good. The nose section for the Reims version is a little tricky due to the compound curves but with plenty of patience it went smoothly.
The white roof on the #31 car was painted first, masked off and then the red was sprayed.
