Dear collectors: Last year I purchased a Factory built Ferrari Bosica 156/85 on Ebay. The master Vincenzo Bosica made two versions of the 156/85. The 1985 San Marino GP at IMOLA and the 1985 Italian GP at MONZA. This is the Imola version.I believe there are about 150 or so Factory versions. I am not 100% sure. This is #16. I have posted (quite a) few pictures of my copy for three reasons. In one case you may be thinking about purchasing a 156/85 sometime in the future. Then this gallery may be helpful to make sure that no pieces are missing, the decals are placed correctly or the the model is put together correctly, before you buy your copy.In second case, you may already own the Imola version. In that case it might be fun to compare your copy with this one and see if there are any differences. Comparing models is a fun part of this hobby and it doesn't cost anything. Or finally perhaps you're thinkg about building the Imola version. Then this gallery may be helpful with building the model.In any case please feel free to share your thought and opinions on this. If this gallery proves to be helpful and fun I'd be happy to post 2 -3 more models in the future. Enjoy the pictures.

Your absolute correct, all three models are my doing.
So is the leather covered base.
The set is displayed in my F1 cabinet!

as far as i know F1-Wolfgang did built the Bosica models himself
in the early 90s ! He also used to upgrade the 126 c2 kit with
original Bosica leatherseat !

I was fortunate to meet him in person in the early 90’.
I purchased three F1 kits while visiting V. Bosica.
The kits were all built in the 90’.
Below is my creation which is the Holy Grail in my F1 collection!

Here's mine #63/104 Imola. I once again have to thank Hans for sourcing this master piece for me.
All these years it was locked away by a collector that recently decided to sell it to me with the help of Hans. The collector also bought it directly from Bosica. If I remember correctly, there was a price tag at the bottom of the box for some few hundred pound or maybe a little more. So you'll can imagine how many times over the price has increased. I still do belief it will increase in the future due to its rarity and collectible status.
So anyway you'll can see the good condition its in after so many years. Thanks to the previous collector.

For that time, NO CAD, this kit was a great job!, an outstanding performance! For the modellers a real challenge. It was juergens first work. Today, he would do a lot thingss other way, his competences are more advanced.
At the last two pictures you can see, what he made differently
1 the suspension. In the kit, this parts are flat (pe). At the original they are conical reduced
2 the cooler. Especially the upper parts are different from the original
3 the complete ductwork of the turbochargers.
4 the electronicbox and the rollbar
5 the floor

There were 50 of these.
Below is my Imola version (#5/104)
I bought them both directly from Bosica when they first were produced. I still think they are among the best 1/43 models ever produced...but back in the 80s they absolutely blew me away. |
