Jean-Paul Magnette has started a new series this month. He will build 5 Ferrari 512S Ecurie Francorchamps Chassis #1030 24H Daytona 1971. These will be based on the AMR #30G kits. Jean-Paul will provide comments and photos of his build process as usual. Keep watching this thread!

For metal I use 5-minute epoxy (Bison in Holland) and sometimes Zap medium superglue especially for small parts. But be careful with this. Vacforms can be glued with white glue like Kristal Klear or from Tameo's. This glue is water solvable and very strong. Available from good model shops.

What a treasure...........superb!!
I hope that i'll have a Jean-Paul Magnette in my collection once

What kind of glue is the best for metal parts and for vacformed parts?

Yep, I used to build kits when I was younger.

Cool!

Never too old to build David...it can be therapeutic as they say.

Absolute, your never to old to built! I’m 74 and still built Hiro open versions F1 kits.

For the moment I keep myself busy with some transkits on old Solido models. Anyway the personal experience as an amateur-builder allows me to appreciate the work behind such a build and to make my own idea whether a model is worthwhile or not.

Impressive.

Was the speedtape 'sunvisor' one of the decals, or did Jean-Paul do it himself?

Hi Jono, Jean-Paul replied this morning.
“Thank-you for your question Mr X-Man, yes the sunvisor is provided on the decal sheet, but it was “improved“ by adding 3 silver strips to make it look more realistic“.
