I am doing a very limited run of these. Two are available to reserve. It will be based on the Mike Craig white metal kit with some of my own enhancements. Contact Mike for details.

The front glass has a very prominent rubber molding…which is shown being developed here.

Glass , headlights [which are enhanced with epoxy lenses] and other details are added…including the fine red pinstripe on the sides and the machined fuel filler assembly.

Machining the fuel fillers...

And the brake discs...

A quick mock up/teaser photo.

Final assembly under way now that paint is completed. Lots of sanding and polishing ahead!
PeterW Posted - 08/11/2014 : 17:04:01
Wheels are completed and valve stems installed.

Parts are prepared for final assembly.

Rear Spoilers are painted, decals coordinated with the body and then clear coated.

Base coat of paint is complete, window frames polished and then decals have been applied. Once they have fully cured the panel lines will be cut in.

Bosica wheels are pre drilled for valve stems. The Bosica wheels are absolutely crucial to the accuracy of any of the Mike Craig GTOs.

PeterW Posted - 08/04/2014 : 16:18:55
The bodies are painted with the base coat. The color is custom mixed.

The interior parts are also painted and ready for assembly and detailing.

Busy with customer projects...these will be updated soon. The color will be custom mixed.

Two available for reservation.

Hi Peter,

Any news on this one?
PeterW Posted - 07/10/2014 : 16:47:56
Panel lines are all deepened with a scribe tool and all holes are drilled by hand prior to any paint

Then the first of two primer coats where any flaws will be corrected and the window frames polished as opposed to painting...which I only do if absolutely necessary.

PeterW Posted - 07/03/2014 : 17:27:19
So it begins with clean up, vent modifications and some dry fitting...

Thinning out the rear wheel wells is crucial, especially to open the vents.

A basic dry fit for interior fitting and ride stance...which will require some minor changes. Note the Bosica wheels. These will be painted aluminum.
