*Drool*

I am now fidgeting with impatience! I shall have to console myself by re-watching the movie repeatedly until it arrives :o)

Excellent!

And the final assembly has commenced...

The primers are sanded and then the paint/decals/mat clear coat applied. I chose a mat clear to stress the crudeness of the real bike...no high gloss on this gem!

The parts are organised and black washed.

Body half's are assembled.

The tires are treated with real sea salt ground very fine by hand.

Then the model is mounted to the base and final details have been applied.

I am amused that you only get half wheels :o)
Makes sense, though.

It is...and it's funny that he changed the spelling of his first name due to a magazine in the US getting it wrong ;)

The basic kit...

And the base is all set up to inspire the build!

A lift-off body would be extremely cool - but trying to find decent reference material is surprising difficult and just imagine the levels of scratch-building required! :o)

I'll be happy to settle for a slightly salt-streaked curbside (lakeside?), with a little whiff of burnt wool. And a glycerol tablet next to it.

Yes...open body would be a major undertaking with this kit...but the Salt Flat presentation is already in the plan!
