Posted - 01/13/2016 : 09:18:45 Hi to all, I'm Thierry from France. I have collected models since I was a child (Dinky,Matchbox,Corgi). But, until recently, I've never purchase handbuits models (because of the high prices). Last december, I found (on a flea market near Paris!) about ten old handbuilt models. Price was really low so I bought them all! I have some questions about those models. The first one is this Ferrari 365 california by Styling models with the label "A Balestrini". This model has number 125, I wonder how many were made? There was no box and some missing pieces, but I found later pieces in a little bag. I wonder what kind of glue was used? I'll show you later the other cars. |

Posted - 01/30/2016 : 01:55:26 Hello Friends, As Xmas present I came by this AMR Lamborghini. It is built to a rarer Lamborghini 400 GT Interim. I know nothing about the builder - but he provided an affectionate work with respect of the details (e.g. airvalves on the wheels). If anybody has seen this model previously - or know anything about the builder I would be glad to receive the info. Thank you! Best regards- Sandor

Posted - 01/26/2016 : 01:58:27 Another old AMR found at very low price. This Bitter is maybe a factory built but I'm not sure. It was created on feb 1984 by Francis Bensignor as he was working for AMR. The story is told here : http://grandiepiccoleauto.blogspot.fr/2013/02/la-storia-di-francis-bensignor-parte-12.html The frame says : Bitter coupé 84 Minichamps Réf. 388 made in France (02 84) by AMR (684). I don't know if 684 is another reference or a serial number? |

Posted - 01/22/2016 : 00:58:37 Hello Christian, Many thanks for your explanations. The early bbr story seems to be very complex with balcar, styling, eco, leader, vh, rex, autominia, valko, tacots, amacar and so on... |

Posted - 01/21/2016 : 11:31:45 hello Thierry
you made a very good deal when the model has a number like the #25 or the #51 you have a factory built car
glue in the early years BBR used cyanolit glue from Ciba Geigy factory ( today Novartis )
numbers #25 was the twenty-fifth model that was produced in a year the yellow 250 GT should be from 1984 or 1985
the cars where not limited, they built and sold, and built and sold nobody knows how many
#25 is your 250 GT in yellow #26 could be the same car or a 250 GT in red or blue or a 365 California or something else
