Posted - 05/07/2016 : 09:01:12 As part of a collection I have consigned, I just listed this LK17B on ebay and then found another one with dark blue paint but SCCA 1958. I do not see this lighter blue version shown in the big BBR book. Does anyone know if this shoudl have a different LK number?

Posted - 05/07/2016 : 10:58:09 Both versions have the same flat black paint on the chassis plate, they look identical. The light metallic blue looks to be a factory build based on the paint quality and other details but why handwritten box and different year (1957)? Very curious model. |

Posted - 05/07/2016 : 09:53:15 It is the same as the 1958 dark blue version, LK17 engraved and year 1958. So my only theory is that someone built this from the LK17 kit but in a bright metallic blue but did this real car race in 1957 in this color and later in 1958 in a dark blue? |
