This one on its way to me... my first 1/43rd (of many?) Formula One car. The Lotus 49 (Meri Kit) built for me by Racing Dioramics with Jochen Rindt figure by Crittenden...

That is not a mistake. I see it in pictures from British Grand Prix. Not his usual black helmet. And I was wondering what that was about.

Nice model, hard to build!
Detail: Rindt is wearing Piers Courage helmet, he lend it.

I agree, those older Meri kits were not my cup of coffee either!
I seen the model on Racing Dioramics web-site. Looks terrific!
Love the Jochen Rindt figure.

A really Beautiful job on a older, pretty crude Meri kit....Decent detail,The Ford Cosworth engine is well done as supplied in the kit.No photoetch as I remember, not like Tameo.A good base to start work from, but quite a bit of work to make it all come out right,Metal was a soft alloy that bent too easily, everything has to be straightened out.I think Mr.Bosica was involved with the master for the kit..........
As always, the figure by Crittenden is without equal.......

The yellow circles and Firestone motif are decals with the kit...

Wow! Great model! Ron
Is the yellow circle on the tires paint or decal?
