Thanks again to Christian, he spotted my Ebay auction and pointed out that this Pinin 1980 is in fact a BBR and is shown on page 30 of the big BBR book. I immediately corrected the listing title and description, thank you Christian! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280536068305&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT

Posted - 07/18/2010 : 02:20:22 It was a trend for shops having their own range of models made by top builders. Quality wasn't as good as today, but back in the days, these models were special! Milano43 was one of the first starting this trend. ACB was another very wellknown brand/shop. Dannhausen did the same.

Posted - 07/17/2010 : 13:08:57 Thank you Christian, and the address is also on the side of the box. I should have guessed it is a shop. It is interesting how BBR gave more significance to the shop name on many early models and not their own brand. |

Posted - 07/17/2010 : 12:32:23 I just listed a very rare BBR from 1984 on ebay. It is CA01 for Calandre #01. 1966 Ferrari 250 GT Spyder Nembo 1966. Does anyone know the story behind "Calandre"? Another shop in Europe perhaps?
