Posted - 08/03/2010 : 13:05:27 What Vettel done on the hungarian gp was for me really dissapointing. He is a great driver with talentad skills, but he makes the same mistake like Hamilton in 2007. He has the fastest car, he is fast enough to win races or even the campionship, he knows this fact very well, but he is not mature enough to ellaborate all the chances. His engineer is also good, we saw it, that Vettel get the order in the last moment to drive into the pits, the team was ready and made a quick pitstop for him in hungary. He has everything, but he is not really able to put all the small pieces together. And his is psychically also much weaker than Webber, who has everything to be champ in 2010.

The factor Schumacher with 7 championships has several factors. Brawn, Byrne and Schmacher.
Brawn started to work for Honda in 2008. After the second race he gave up to develop the actual car and ordered everybody in Honda to work on the new car for 2009. They started in April 2008 to design the new car for 2009 (Brawn GP). It is at least 4-5 month earlier or twice as much time to develop a car as usually and was enough to be world champion in 2009. To be world champion in 2009 the team had to work on the car till the last race (november in 2009), they cannot had enough resources to design the new car for 2010. It was obvious that Brawn, or Mercedes will not have a competitive car for 2010.
The best constructor or designer today in F1 is Arian Newey (Red Bull), because Rory Byrne (Ferrari till the end of 2006) is not active any more. He gave up in 2004 after Schumi's 7th titel, 2005-2006 the car was not competitive, therefore he was asked by Todt to work on the car in 2006 and the plans for 2007 with the younger designers at Ferrari. As Schumi released his withdrawal, Byrne has retired immediatlly. The car in 2007 was quite competitive (80% work of Byrne), not the fastest, but enough to win races and with luck the championship as well.
Schumacher is Schumacher. He likes cars, that oversteer in the curve, but with the season of 2007 the width of the front tires was reduced, which causes mainly understeering. It is a nightmare for a driver, who prefers oversteering, like Schumacher. He does not have confidence in his car, therefore he is slower in the curves, so the tires cannot reach an optimal temperature, which is indispensable for higher curvespeeds. He has to learn to drive so, which he never done before, because all the cars were built for him, let say tailored for his driving style. In every year before the first race he tested the cars 30-50'000 Kilometers, but tests are also banned. He has not have enough time to learn this new situation, only on races or on the previuos tests in february for 3 weeks, where he attended only 2 weeks. And now he has a detractive reputation, because many "experts" see him on pos 10 or 11 to pass the finish line. |

Your not the only one! I suspected that right away, Vettel is no dummy!

Posted - 08/03/2010 : 02:04:59 I think the reason why Alonso has passed Massa was that Fernando was really faster and Felipe was slowing him and let Vettel come closer....it's not good in the last laps to have Vettel so near......however it's a decision that in this year was taken both by Redbull ( with accident between Vettel and Webber ) and by McLaren ( Turkish Gp....saing Hamilton to save fuel ahahahahah ) in different ways...maybe Ferrari was not so clever.... I'm a fan of Ferrari since i was born ( with a red flag in my hand ahahaha ) but this year i wish Webber could win the title...he is a great driver..... At the end Schumy......nothing to say anymore!!! ( sorry for my bad english!! ) |

Posted - 08/02/2010 : 12:45:13 i think the season was going really well and better than the last few years then all of a sudden two incidents in two gps sours it a bit
Schummi hasnt lost it - still a nasty piece of work , the Rosebergs have both tuned on him - cant see him in 2011 - give it up !!
i was impressed more with Webber , hope he wins it overall deserves it Vettels time will come but time is ticking for Web !
cant believe Ferrari that they wouldnt let Massa win one year on from his accident, what an acheivement that would have been -same points for the team either way so cant understand the team orders bit , unless they favor Alonso - they wouldnt do that would they ?/?? :-) their drivers are usually on equal terms

Posted - 08/02/2010 : 12:33:30 Sure Paul, why not? Lets see what you got..... ;-) Want to talk Schumi and the Barrichello move into the wall? Want to talk about Ferrari's $100K penalty? Want to talk about Alonso and how much he is whining and the fact that he needs to just shut up and drive the damn car!?!?!?! :-)
