For Lamborghini Countach LP500R, what is the difference between EM163A and EM163B? Which one is black wheels?
Many thanks..
The EM163A has gold wheels as shown at the Tokyo Auto Show. Side view below.
This is the EM163B as the car looks today.

Posted - 06/10/2012 : 03:26:14 The EM048A 250 GTO 1962 in red is a great model, as is the EM131A Ferrari 288GTO 1984 Optional Equipment Red both in 1/43 scale. Two to be in my collection very soon (ordered today, one with Miniwerks in fact via their eBay shop).
One key model missing, that I think Make Up Eidolon would do a good job on is the 250 GT California Spyder 1961 in Red, beige leather seats. I will keep my fingers crossed. |

Posted - 01/13/2011 : 07:45:16 Very interesting approach, Nobuyuki. In general it would be interesting to know more about the individual preferences of the biggest markets (most likely USA, Japan and Europe). |

Posted - 01/13/2011 : 03:25:42 Additional info. The 599GTO and the 599 SA APERTA will be listed. I let the MU informed the comments above. The main reason is the Japanese market. Nobuyuki |

Posted - 01/11/2011 : 11:48:51 First of all, thank you for keeping us updated once again Nobur. Very valuable information.
I for one am somewhat surprised as well that MakeUp announces yet another 458. If they wanted to be in that market, they seem to have missed the boat somewhat.
However, it is a simple commercial fact that those companies will have to offer the more known models in order to reach a larger crowd.
I for one am longing for a decent model of the 308 GT4 that raced at Le Mans. I thought BBR could do that pretty easy, having a decent model of the GT4 to begin with. I can't even understand why the won't make the racingversion (Sebring) of the very first 275 GTS Spyder NART. That is only a matter of adding detail. But somehow, those models, allthough very important for any serious Ferrari collection, are always forgotten. |

Posted - 01/11/2011 : 11:38:39 I think the Daytona will be a great model! I also can't understand why they dont do a 308 or a 328. I'm also waiting for a nice 355,but BBR.....? I always ask myself why companies do models which already were made by some other.. Who needs a 458 from Eidolon when there are great ones out there from BBR and MR? BBR produces the 458 to death,so who will buy?

Posted - 01/11/2011 : 05:52:51 I know a model has to sell very well in order to make money, no doubt about that. But I strongly believe that every collector, who likes and wants a 458 model, already has the BBR version... I do... So why not take the chance on a new model, or one which hasn't been done (properly) before, and find out if it sells? Life is one big risk anyhow! ;-) I am very sure a 308/328 (for instance) will sell like hell if Make Up would make a good model of it! |

Posted - 01/11/2011 : 01:14:42 This has been discussed very often, but it is still a very important issue. The thing is that many interesting cars wouldnt sell well enough I guess. Make up also has to make money with their models...
And especially when it comes to cars like the Miura, which MR (and also with their Looksmart label) has done in huge numbers, they have to make a really great model which defines a new standard. |

Posted - 01/11/2011 : 01:08:02 I totally agree with you Adrie....i don't understand why all modelmakers make same models....the 458 Italia or the 599 Fxx or Gto...and no one thinks to be different from others!!! I also would see a beautiful 308 or 328, there are so many beautiful cars that are waiting to be built and sold... I'm happy to see that Make Up will make the Daytona.....but i hope to have the Miura in my hands as soon as possible!!! |

Posted - 01/10/2011 : 21:50:06 Hi Nobuyuki!
Thanks once again for keeping us informed on the Make Up's! But the 458??? You should tell them there is already a modelmaker in Italy who makes a 458, and it's not bad at all! ;-)
Why not make a nice 308 GTB/GTS or a 328 GTB/GTS for instance? Looking at their magnificent Testarossa they should be able to capture the beautiful lines as no other!
What do you think my fellow collectors, wouldn't that be a good idea?
Best regards, Adrie. |
