A new model by Ilario, Talbot T120 Baby Cabriolet Figoni et Falaschi 1935.
I think this model is really beautiful... What do you think about?

Ilario is doing the prototyping then send the datas to a chinese factory which build the models for him.
As to survive he needs to make a certain amount of models, manufacturing in China is the only option. Making the models 100% in Europe would be too expensive.
This is true for the "Chrome" serie. Dunno if the Ilario are still made in France but I think they are also made in China.

Ilario is producing in China? Since when? This is absolutely new to me. Since when? He has always produced his models in France so this must be a real change in his philosophy if it is true.

These classic car models from Ilario are beautiful. He is able to crank out so very many, and so very fast since all are being made in China, and that is how things work over there. They want, and are used to producing quantities. Great models, but sadly not made in France or other European countries.

I agree 100%.

Really nice too is the glass bird made by Lalique as a radiator cap made is scale. Great model.

Ilario is a Master!
I think he entered in the fields of late Heco but with one diference.
His models are BETTER.

This one was meant to be made by Heco until they've gone out of business. This Talbot was shown at Retromobile a few years ago.
On this prototype, all the silver parts will be chrome and the front lights will be more detailed with bulbs.

Perhaps loosing the Ferrari license turned out to be a blessing in disguise. The new model line is awesome, including the presentation, and the speed in which he is cranking them out, amazes me.

I think Ilarios new pre war models are really a step forward. The detailing is amazing. His last Ilario models such as the 250 GTO are extremely good and the finishing is also excellent.

It was the correct choice for him to go upwards as the Contact line wasnt very successful I guess. Even if it was handmade it was too close to the China productions from the big manufacturers.
