The history: The 250 GTO comes 10 years after the Mercedes W194, he is the successor of the 250 GT. There are a lot of commons between them. Here yo can see the progress in build-ing of light car body construction.
At the 300 SL, the complete Body, was screwed with the chassis.
Ferrari works in an other way. Here the car body became by thin alloy-sheets, in parts on the frame.
So this GTO-model looks different of the 300 SL.
He stopped the montage. So yo can see the fantastic engineering
Generally i'll say, here you can see, what's possible, when there are no commercial restric-tions.
The models are the result from pure joy in model building and racing

Some days ago, Juergen modified the GTO.
At the left side, now you can see more of the technique.
Now, the front bonnet is fixed correct – at the space frame.
Also, the characteristic front is placed at the right place.

I agree, I cannot imagine a finer model of the GTO in 1/43 or any other scale for that matter. Even more impressive that it is 1/43. This belongs in a museum or shown at shows around the World. I would be afraid to hand carry it on flights though. |

Now this has to be one of the best 1/43rd builds I have seen in a long time. Amazing craftmanship.

Peter, yes, you are probably right, but unlike a full size 308, at least there wouldn't be any maintenance costs!

On this pic's you can see the process. The base of the frame is silver-moulding.
The basic- model is naturally pure handmade. The construction of the thin wires
Be made with silver wires and steady hand.
Silver can be readily soldered. That means: open flame (with a soldering torch).
At the end the frame will coloured (black) by rhodium electroplating. Colour would be to thick!
Only Cooler, Engine and the Tanks are glued. So you got a extraordinarily robust structure in a 1/43 model.

Now that my friend is a true master at work...the results are superb!
We desire to see more of the process, and more angles of the body to see how true it is in the shape of the actual car. Did the artisan select a specific chassis number for this project?
