Posted - 12/17/2011 : 11:43:01 Hello everyone! As a new member of the Forum, I do not want to talk about my collection. Many of the models that I have, has everyone serious collector. I would suggest to discuss the topic of models from "other" manufacturers that are not among the famous and extra rare, at least among collectors which are ready to spend large sums on their hobby. I asked my son who understand anything in the art of photography, take some photos of models, which quite possibly may be unknown to the members of this forum. That's what I mean:
It is Monteverdi 375L by NEO and it's beatiful! And another photo:
These models are made #8203;#8203;by china workers and very often they has some defects. But if you're lucky, you get a harmonious model with a high level of detail. Go ahead and look the very well made Bizzarrini Manta by Spark-first project made by newborn Ital Design atelier:
Look very convincing details imitating stainless steel, which are made from the steel too:
And in the profile model is perfectly:
The new american firm Automodello, which makes the models of rare cars ever made #8203;#8203;by no one. Like an example will admire the Griffith 600 which later became Intermeccanica Italia:
Very limited edition of 192 copies with Certificate of Authenticity signed by Andrew “Jack” Griffith
One of two Maserati (second is Karif) made #8203;#8203;for holland Replicars in Ukraine by EMC-very fine work-Maserati Khamsin:
OK, go to Japan, where the Japanese commitment to excellence made the resin models HPI firm-like this impeccable Lancia Stratos Zero Prototipo Bertone:
But if we really look for the perfect job, which is excellent in terms of execution and has impeccable build quality and detailing - we can find this incredible Gemballa MIG-U1 by FLINE (made in China):
I do not know if you found something new, but if the forum members will be interested in the topic of high-quality handmade resin models made by other not-very-famous manufacturers, I can continue this theme.

Posted - 12/25/2011 : 09:10:02 Of course, John! It is for this motive I have called this topic "another world". HPI and Automodello are the most expensive - $100. Others are from $50 (Spark, NEO) to $80 (TWIN CAM). RED LINE don't exist, but you can find some models for $100-140. FLINE don't exist too, but it's possible to find the non-opening models for $120-150 and all opening-close for $200-300. This producer changed the name and is called FrontiLine now. Merry Christmas! |

Posted - 12/22/2011 : 08:41:04 I want to finish this topic and to show the three models, which may not have seen everybody. Go back to SPARK. Unlike NEO, the models of this brand are becoming rare and grows in value. That's perfectly executed TVR Sagaris with with a stunning painting "chameleon".
This is very very strange supercar Mitsuoka Orochi (Snake) made by HPI with very very high standart in deep purple colour.
And at the end model of TWIN CAM - Jaguar XK150 Coupe. Very good work with reasonable price.
We can only say thank you to all enthusiasts who take to produce high quality resin models. And we are looking forward for new ones! |

Posted - 12/21/2011 : 11:53:53 Another beautiful and rare model made by firm which non exist now-Red Line, brand of Spark. Excellent attention to details. Note Ferrari emblem in turn signals, door handles and window frames in particular, made from voluminous elements, rather than flat photoetched parts, as do all.

Posted - 12/17/2011 : 13:36:21 Fantastic pictures, thanks, Andrey.
That NEO Monteverdi is excellent, it looks as good as anything BBR would produce - and for a fraction of the price! I obtained a NEO model for another collector just the other day, the first one I had seen in person (a Rover P5B), and I was quite impressed with it.
The Manta also looks better than I expected, but then Spark are producing some very high quality work these days. Good enough that I believe a lot of handbuilt companies need to pick their game up a bit...
I have an EMC/Replicars Khamsin (also in metallic brown) and it is superb, like all EMC's work. However, I need to take another look at mine, as I do not recall it having registration plates.
I knew HPI's 1/43 models were supposed to be quite good, but that Zero is fantastic! I have a silver one by YoW Modellini and have been wanting a copper version as well for quite some time, but I think the HPI one is even better - so much so that I am looking for one right now, thanks to those pictures!
