Hi friends
in the near future I want to built the Ferrari 250 GTO 1962 model, version with engine.
Where I need your help is to understand what is the best kit: AMR, le Phoenix, Piranha etc. and what version.
Thanks for your help
ciao

The kit of the Ilario version was limited to under 100 pieces (I don't remember the actual number). AMR GTOs can be found more easy, but the 5000 series goes for big $$$.

Thanks for your suggestions, I have understood that the real problem is to find the kit
Maybe AMR is easier to find

I have an AMR GTO; I think it is absolutely beautiful....

The Ilario is one of the best, but the stance and wheels are not..
If you replace them by Bosica wheels, its a perfect car, but I still prefer the AMR.
I had both and sold the Ilario, so I can't make pictures of them side by side.

... but the kit is hard...

Hi,

as far as I know, the more accurate GTO is Ilario's but the is hard (almost impossible) to find.

Hope it helps.

Even if I doubt that you have used the "search" button (there should be different threads which deal with that same topic), I can tell you the following:

Most likely the majority of the collectors will tell you that the AMR kit ref. 5000 is the best 250 GTO kit available. I see it the same way. But LP and Piranha are also very good too, basically its the same stable.

If you want an engine I can recommend you to look for a Feeling43 engine kit on the internet. Many professional builders can supply you with engines too if you ask them to build for you.

Which version? Well, do you mean kit version or which GTO version? Honestly, that should depend on your personal preferences...
