Who can say precisely where are the exhaust pipes on Ferrari 250 GTO s/n 3647 during the Tourist Trophy races, August 18, 1962 with John Surtees behind the wheel and the race number 6 on the board? Picture of this car in the race can be seen on the cover of the book Ferrari 250 GTO by Keith Bluemel. In the book “Ferrari 250 GTO” by Anthony Pritchard does not mention that this car had side pipes. BBR made model of 3647 (GTO 01) with exhaust pipes on each side (like actual car) and without ventilation holes on the rear pillar (not like actual car). The model Tokoloshe of the same car has classic rear pipes and a rear pillar vent. I found a video from the race in Montlhery October 21, 1962, when Ferrari s/n 3647 appeared with race number 11 with John Surtees and Mike Parkes at the wheel. The car has the same features as the model Tokoloshe. I do not think that anyone over the last month moved the exhaust pipes. And when and who they transposed and where they were at the Tourist Trophy? Who know the response?

Thank you, Jerry,
but it does mean that the model BBR wrong! They are simply glued number 6 on the model of the car in the present state! Congratulations to all owners of this model, and myself too ...

You can see 3647GT #11 before 1000 km de Paris race. The pipes are located at the rear.

I want to clarify what I mean:
model of Tokoloshe

model of BBR

Real car with John Surtees-we don't see the side exhaust

The same car before crash at TT 1963

and after (seems that there are no back pipes)

And, finally, the current car

There are no pictures to find of the rear of car 6, but there are pictures of the car later on, and then the exhaust pipes are on both sides under the doors.
