I am new to this forum, but I love to build civil cars, especially the oned from the 1950-1960 era. So here is another example of the wonderfull Mercedes 300sl kit by Tamiya. I have used PE fret by studio27 (I think) and paint from Zero Paints. The PE was not really necessary as the kit itself is so good that I didn't used most of it. the only real upgade is of the front wipers. The paint is "Strawberry red" DB543 by Zero Paints. As far as I know approximately 2% of the cars have been produced in this colour. The rest is painted with acrylics by Tamiya and Mr.Hobby, the metal parts are painted using Alclad II. The model is very easy to assemble and any difficulties I had, have been selfinflicted. Any comments, reccomendations or constructive criticism are most welcome Here are the pictures:
