Mi for Milan is unlikely; the Escuderia Montjuich had nothing to do with Milan. Moreover the number is too low and the format doesn't fit Italian registration plates. It should be something Spanish such as a provisional plate to allow the car to be driven on open roads.

the car was born as 512 S in 1970 and was converted to 512 M in 1971
