Good evening Fellow Collectors,
here is the point - I have a lot of unbuilt kits of 1:43 resin modelcars, it's hard to cooperate with some professional builders to build them, that's why I am wondering if it's worth trying to learn and build something on my own.

Do you have any ideas, guidelines, links - how to start, where to look for any advice or some instructions how to put it all together and make a nice results?

I'd highly appreciate your generous help!
Best regards,
Piotr

pozdrawiam ( 'best regards' in Polish! )

Hi Piotr,

I think most critical and perhaps most difficult is the paint job of a model. I think for 1/43 you would be best of with an airbrush set but for a beginner that is quite a financial step. It is really handy for other parts too though and if you are determined to build a lot consider it.
I myself am first going to try with spray cans, bought some from Humbrol - no idea if it will be successful but no harm in trying. I do not expect to build a lot, so there is a difficulty. My first ventures in 1\43 are actually prepainted BBR's, really nice bases to start at! So what you could also try is to find somebody who is willing to apply a nice coat to your models ;)

Hello Piotr,

just try it!

over 20 years i start to build Models in scale 1:43. now itīs easy then 20 years ago, thankīs to Mikeīs Forum Miniwerks, Facebook and all the other Online-medias.

I like to say, i can Compare my Models whit other builds. I am not a Top builder like...... but preparation and the painting are more then 60% of a Model.

As Juan sayd, "Good luck!"

Regards
Fred

Hi Piotr
The book "The World of 1/43" of John Simons (Marsh Models)
it is a good a guide for beginners in the construction of 1/43 scale models.
Personally, for me it has helped me a lot.
Good luck with that!
