I' ve start to built this nice kit from SRC.
The object it is to modify the original kit parts using a new and rebuilt parts.
A little history of this car and his unlucky driver: Lorenzo Bandini.

Ferrari brought two cars to Monaco, n° 18 for Lorenzo Bandini and n° 20 for Chris Amon.
They ad revised 36 valce engines with central exhaust pipes, new nose sections anf faired in rear view mirror. Large air scoops were fitted to the front and rear brakes for the demandig street circuit.
Bandini started from the fron row of the grid and he briefly led the race but was passed by D. Hulme and J. Stewart who retired whilst leading. On lap 82 Bandini crashed at the harbour chicane and died from injuries three days later.

Front suspension, rebuilt the steering box e added shock absorber from Tameo.

Great looking model. The tires are the weak point since they are generic with no tread. I noticed a nice set on a 1/43rd diecast that I am using on my 1/43rd Ferrari P3(Spa 1966 Firestones). I did this car using a Hiro 1/24th scale 312 1968 kit(modified)last year.

Nice!!! Excellent fit, finish & detailing! Sad about the split tire. Maybe you can pose it with the split facing downwards, tie a wire around the tire to draw the split closed and glue it to the rim.

This was a fun build to watch... Thanks for sharing.

Hi Mark, thank you.

The last crazy moment.......I've found in the model shop micro rivets with the head of 0,4 mm. I' ve use them to do the nuts wheels.

Hello Mark
I'm happy to have convince you!!!
I write when some parts ( turned parts or driver ) was built from a friend.
For all the modifications I use accessory parts from Tameo, Bosica and Tron etc and a lot of patience and documentation.
As the last, one day a month, more or less, I can going from my friend where I learn a lot about the modelling.

WOW! When I first saw your models and you told you built them yourself, I couldn't believe you, to be honest.......

Now, seeing your WIP pictiures, you convinced me totally and I admire your patience, your attention to detail and above all, your skills! Absolutely fabulous!

Mark
