I took a BBR Classic Kit No19 to build (with some modifications below) the darkblue GTO 4219GT. Hope you like it.

To be exact, the paint on the GTO is a very dark blue

Thanks for your kind words.
I take the slow and time consuming way:
Filler sanded with 800 grit
Paint sanded with 1200 grit
Clear cote sanded with 2000 and 3000 grit.
Then polished until shining again.
Paint used is one pack acrylic car paint from automotive spray cans. Applied with a small air-brush.
It gives a softer gloss than the two-pack clearcoats many use.
And I prefer this against the hard gloss of the two-pack clearcoats.

Hi Wolfgang I'm new in the forums and also in 1:43 building, I had saw many topics from you including this 250 gto that is really beatiful, how can be achieved such shine in the black color and in all exterior colors of your built models? Thanks |

Rounded the front fender that is much to square
Rounded the back fender and lowered itīs upper edge a bit. Opened the air outlet beheind back-wheels
Holed the door pockets so there is depth behind the photoeched door interior panel
Tried to make new backlights (still not 100% satisfied), and a canopy to be put on top of the photoetched gas cap. To have it three-dimensional
made a steering-wheel from the center of a Tron photoetch and 0,5 mm brass wire
