Posted - 01/02/2011 : 19:17:45 All the best to you all for the New Year - All of it, and may your little car dreams come true.
Here is a display that I updated in December and hoped to post then. I hope you enjoy the pictures.
Overview of the display which contains a mixture of diecast and white metal hand built models representing some of the significant cars raced over a span of more than 100 years.

Middle Closeup
The middle section
The rt. side is a bit more modern with representatives through 2009.
WRC Rally cars through the years, my favorite is the Healy, and would like to find a 1964 Paddy Hopkirk Mini which would then become my new favorite.

Posted - 01/03/2011 : 08:09:01 John, Thanks for the kind words and labeling suggestion. Nicer labels are a goal but at the moment I am just trying to get just these paper ones made as I reflect on and refine the wording of each, as well as modify the displays themselves. Am very fortunate to have a quite large display room and have been working on it for two years. It is taking shape but there is lots yet to do.

Posted - 01/03/2011 : 04:55:13 It's a nice and interesting display Steve. I like the wordings. Perhaps if you could have the labels on Plexi you might have a museum display version. Happy collecting in 2011! John |
