My son and I attended the Reno Air Races for the first time this past weekend. This event is held every year in Reno, Nevada, just 2 hours away. This show will become a tradition, we were so impressed with the aircraft on display, the modern military jet demonstrations and especially the unlimited class races. The F-22 Raptor in the first photo performed a demonstration of this futuristic jet's capabilities and I cannot express enough how impressed we were, this demo was worth the trip alone. Our favorite planes were the highly modified Mustang P-51Ds. Seeing these beautiful beasts flying around the course over 500mph was breathtaking. The white/red #7 Team Strega P-51 won. I had no idea that the P-51's were that fast. Those F-22's are nice. How many are in service?
