Posted - 03/18/2013 : 04:07:09 There are two separate events this weekend in Chicago, the Ferrai Expo at Continental Motorsports on Saturday and on Sunday, it is the 1/43 scale model car expo in Countryside, Ill. This is the first time that the events are being held on the same weekend. Retromobile, it is not but this could be interesting.
Who from the Forum will be attending?

Posted - 03/25/2013 : 06:21:58 Thanks for coming out Mike. We will make it the same weekend for Ferrari Expo and Route 66 plus the Unique events toy show next year also. I hope we have more models entered in the Ferrari Expo model contest. The model dealers did good this year, and they will all be back. Mikhail from B&G Group(very fine Russian and east Euro handbuilt models) said he will for sure be back. I ended up buying an EMC 1/43rd Alfa Romeo 6C 2500SS Stab Farina 1940 model from him that is flawless.

Posted - 03/24/2013 : 19:13:05 I just returned from Chicago and had a wonderful weekend thanks to Tom Tanner and Buz and Jean Kirkel of Route 66 models. The Saturday event combined the 1:1 Ferraris, swap meet with plenty of 1/43's as well as Ferrari memorabilia. Tom Tanner sponsored a model car contest. The Sunday show in Countryside was actually two shows. There was a very well attended model car show at a union hall as well as Buz Kirkel's 1/43 show at the William Tell hotel directly across the street. I will post some of the photos taken of the weekend's events.
