Thanks for that - I have been trying to discover who the sculptor was since seeing his in some Retromobile pictures last year. And, now that I know who to look for, I have swamped myself with pictures of his work - absolutely wonderful stuff!!!

This was the exhibitor:

I took a photo of that one too. And promptly the exhibitor informed that it is not allowed to make any photos...
I took his business card with me.
I will post more information and his contact details as soon as I am back home later today.

And I absolutely LOVE the bas relief F1 comical artist's work. Just fantastic! And Bouissou Brecia. Now, see! I'm all emotional now!

Thank you for sharing your pictures with us!

PierroTechio was talking about emotions. Tiny machined nuts and bolts and hoses and wires, even Japenese ones, are not the only kinds of modelling that produce emotions. Although the brass work on some of those models does get me all emotional- but I like the French guys too.
I also like models that tell a story or in some way exhibit "personality" and creativity.

For me, the Chrono43 1929 Bugatti First Monaco Winner as driven by William Grover- Williams diorama is an example. Chrono43 did an excellent likeness of Grover-Williams. And a beautiful layout and model. Grover-Williams a few years after winning the very first Monaco Grand Prix became a spy for the British to help the French Resistance, went behind the lines and got caught in 1943 and put in a camp- and was executed in 1945. The war only had just one or two months to go. Chrono43 caused me to have emotions.

Hi guys

Last year I believe my Rétromobile report was appreciated around here so here you go again.

Here is a long report with nearly 300 HD pics. Scroll down to find the miniatures pics with other close ups og the Le Mans Paddock.

Outstanding series of photos Wolfgang. Very enjoyable seeing these.
The race car diorama is a source of inspiration, might try something like it.
Thank you so much for posting.

Cheers and Happy Collecting,
Steve

Wow!!! I'd be thrilled to go to a show here and see 1 of those models.Jean Paul's Jag's in raw form would be fun to see. It's hard enough to hinge 1 set of door's... I love the Bugatti chassis, that Talbot scene is awesome and that LeMans scene is just ridiculous in detail. Thanks for sharing!!!

Thanks for your kind words.

When the show opened 11am I went straight to minidelta / LP Creation booth where the Jaguar of Jean Paul has been displayed. Luckily. When I returned two hours later it was already sold and gone.

Hallo Wolfgang,

tolle Fotos, Superklasse!

A little correction: The Minidelta Fred Suber is a Ferrari P3, not P4.

The Chrono43 Le Mans 1970 Diorama was such amazing!
I took approx. 30 photos of it.
Will try to post them here as soon as I got time to do so.
