Sorry for my absence lately, but things have been very busy.
Time to start a new project, this time the Monaco GP '67 Ferrari 312F1 from Lorenzo Bandini.

All parts have been sanded, polished and cleaned. All rivets were drilled out, some rivets on the chassis were made with soldering wire, all rivets on the body will be replaced with metal ones.
First dryfit of the engine:

Bodyparts received their metal etch primer and pink primer:

600 rivets primed...

All metal parts received the etch metal primer:

And the Motip grey primer:

Best regards,
Hugo

The entire engine looks spectacular, but wow, that exhaust! It is a work of art!

This one was waiting on the shelf in favor of other projects, so time to restart work on the 312F1.

As I wasn't fully satisfied about the already painted body (and size of the rivets (too big)) I removed all paints and started all over again: metal etch primer, grey primer, pink primer and the Rosso Corsa #300 from DS Colors.

Gloss coat as a base for the decals.

Standox 2K clearcoat.

All 800+ rivets received the same paint treatment and were placed by hand.

Two-coloured seat as Bandini used at the GP Monaco '67.

All fuel and hydraulic lines were installed, as is the electrical wiring.

Thanks X-man.

In the meantime I've made some progress: Fuel system done and started with ignition and electrical wiring...

Best regards,
Hugo
