Hi All,

Has anybody heard of this company that makes 1/43 F1 kits? Looks like they specialize in 70's F1 and there are some very interesting subjects. Does anybody know how they compare to Tameo?

Tameo was always Adriaan's example. Now we might safely conclude they are about equal when it comes to kit quality. TWU really has some very interesting sixties and seventies racing cars (Brabham BT 33; Surtees; Wolf). And have a look at their future releases, can't wait for the Lauda's Marlboro BRM.

Check out the Wolf Ford under Veloce43, this is based on the TWU kit. You can get their kits from Raccoon Japan.

I have seen a number of TWU reviews in the past and they were all very positive.

I just received a TWU 1974 Surtees TS 16/2 built by "New Ace" in Hong Kong. It is truly the equal of a Tameo Kit. To my knowledge, they do not produce any of the same subjects. I have about 15 built up Tameo kits, including the Steven Barnett high detail Ferrari 312T2 for sale on Miniwerks (as well as a 312T4 by Barnett, not for sale). They are like fine jewelry. I would buy the Veloce43 TWU builds on Miniwerks in a second if those subjects were on my wish list. I am sure I will add another to my collection.

He is also on facebook, where he posts the progress of his newest projects.
Also other FB user post pictures of their built kits on his FB page.

Quite entertaining, worth checking out

Some time aga TWU and Tameo announced some of same Brabhams, so TWU cancelled its plans.

TWU has some truly weird subjects like the Cosworth 4WD Formula car, which looks like an amazing kit.
