Hello everyone,

Just today, the extremely talented Peter Wingfield of PLM Studio announced that my model has been completed! Based on the Marsh Models kit, Peter did an absolutely magnificent job. This was a high detail curbside project, and Peter added a generous number of things. Among some of the highlights...Scratch built mirrors and center wheel knock offs, headlights and rear lights, front splitters, and rear spoiler from brass. All the vents were opened up and panel lines deepened. And I cannot forget to mention those beautiful machined exhaust tips! I was delighted when I found out that this model was offered not only as a factory built, but also kit form. Not that there is anything wrong with the former, but I wanted something more. I was always impressed with Peter's work, and wanted him to build this special model for me, so a big thanks for delivering big time!

Thanks Jerry ;)

For what it's worth those are the original [ancient] decals. They will go from the awful yellow tint that develops over time by putting them in direct sunlight for a few days. They will still remain brittle so it's best to treat them with a clear prior to application.

Very cool - and all the extra detailing especially. Your are right about those exhaust pipe, too!

However, when it comes to the GT40, I am afraid I am very biased... To quote from the movie 'Highlander', "There can be only one!" The 1966 Mk II with black and silver livery; the one in which three New Zealanders won at Le Mans :o)
