Hello guys, Hope everyone is doing out this very southern California day, I was wondering if can someone give me there thougs on Tameo Ferrari 126 C2(white metal) and BBR Ferrari 126 C2(resin?), I whant to buy one, I have seen both in pictures, BBR presenation is much better in plastic and leather base, Tameo presentation is not very appealing, I know the model is the more important thing so Tameo or BBR? can someone please help! |

Tameo does a very nice build and have for many, many years. Underrated IMO and a good model for the money. Built in Italy too ;) |

Thank you Peter for your comments, I am going to get the Tameo, I actually have two tameos, a Ferrari 1984 and 1985 F1, when I got the 85 it was almost completely destroyed a had it repair and it came out pretty good, thats when I felt in love with Tameos,
Thanks again! Regards Abel |

I have to agree on one point; Tameo factory base presentation are not that appealing! But Tameo models are top in finish and looks!
I personally buy Tameo versions, and upgrade the base myself……..

Thank you Wolfgang, I was thinking the same upgrade the base to a wood base, I done that in the past building dioramas, the problem always has ben getting a good finish on base the carpenters dont whant to waste time in a couple of small bases, any suggestions were I can get already made wood bases? TSM(True scale minituares) is a diecast model company is bringin out a 1/43 wood base display base I dont know when I hope they are good.
Thank you! Regards Abel |

Are you talking about factory-built Tameo 126 C2?? Because it is not a white metal model...if you want a white metal 126 C2 you have to buy a kit and then have it built... |

Ok, I thought it was white metal! because the ones I have a white metal, I dont know much abouth Tameo factory builts, but the 126 C2 is better than BBR correct?
Thanks! Abel |

I don't know because i have not seen the BBR model "live", i had the Tameo one and the quality was good. However if you are not in a hurry i think that the best solution is to buy a tameo kit and to give it to a good builder, it will cost more but you will have a perfect white metal model in your hands ;-)) Paolo |

Thank you Paolo, thats a good idea, do you know a good builder?, I had one, the last built he did it so fast it wasnt very good, no attention to detail.
Thanks! |
