I rate EMC extremely highly as model makers. Mikhail's collaborations with them are always worthwhile, too.

Here you can see the original car exhibited in privat museum's collection near Moscow, Russia. Interestingly, it was personal car of the racing driver Giuseppe "Nino" Farina, who later became first Formula 1 World Champion.

Thank you for the link. I understand the restored car has a part recreation body on the original chassis. Also the flip up panel behind the front light seems to only be on the drivers side as seen on the period photos I have. The model is almost perfect and the build quality superb. I hope they do more Alfa Romeo's from this era.

Hi Tom! I also have this model in my collection, #24/100. Can you tell what do you mean the model is ALMOST perfect? Also, would you be so kind to share some period photos of the car - here on the forum or to my e-mail, please. |

Hi,
Nothing is ever perfect if made by humans but this is close to perfect. I have added a photo of the real car that shows what looks like a panel behind the driver headlamp cover. It might be somekind of shadow or strange photo retouch but it looks like a panel. They did great work on this car model. Do you know anything on the rumor that the car in the museum has a new non original body and maybe a different engine??

Thank you very much, Tom, for nice photo! Yes, this panel looks strange, especially being on one side only. Sorry, at the moment I haven't any information re originality of the body and engine. But I'll try to find something... Meantime, here some photos of restoration in progress
