Starting with a Looksmart 550 I hammered the start of a roof. I'll need to wait until the windshield is mounted to finish the shape of this.

Striped the paint and hollowed the interior. Added some drilled angle peices for the boxed sections and modified the dash moving the instrument cluster.

Any particular reason you began with a LookSmart 550, rather than a Make Up? I have not seen either "in the resin", so to speak, but my instincts would have been for a Make Up (bearing in mind that I am not a Porsche expert), simply because their work impresses me so much - right across their range.

The Looksmart & BBR's are the early production, mid production is like the Basic43 and Make Up's are the end of run. I love the Make Up models and hope they make a kit available when I get that itch.

am I right you've stripped off the paint from the Looksmart model? How have you done it without destroying the resin body? I would be really thankful for your tip!

pozdrawiam ( 'best regards' in Polish! )

The paint can be removed with Pickling Gel for paints.
It must be done very quickly, to not deform the resin body.

There is more than one way to strip a resin model... Like Jerry said work quick or you run the risk of softening the resin body. On this one I used Acetone and q-tips to remove the paint.
