Just for a change of pace from the usual period correct version...I am thinking a supple black exterior with burgundy leather interior.

Yeah...let's do that ;)

Red over tan looks mad on the 599. Metallic blue over tan be also cool.

I am aware of the color changes and the book...but then it would no longer be a "fantasy color" :))

Hello Peter,great idea
If you want a fantasy color, you can do like I did on this Golf GTI.

This is a fun job, to make a model as you feel like!

Sort of leaning towards the dark red and tan...the body lends itself to a sexy color scheme.

Ah, so if you want to do something really original with a dark paint for the body and a clear interior, I suggest this combination.

Or as you like, red for the body and beige for inside.

I built these two Ferrari(Revell 1/24) there is some time for articles for Tamiya Magazine.

I hope these pictures will help you find the inspiration to paint your 275 GTB!

This is the color "Lapisblau Metallic 3A9" directly taken up in the color chart Porsche.
The painting is taken off stick retouching, then diluted with normal diluent and then applied with an airbrush. Finally several coats of varnish two components are applied on the blue.

The body is prepped for paint and the panel lines deepened and refined so paint will not fill them. The door handle holes and wiper washer holes are also drilled...slightly over to allow for paint.

The color I have chosen is a very deep Ferrari Blue [non metallic]. "Pozzi Blue" These photos were taken minutes after two coats of clear were applied..hence the very wet appearance. The clear will both tone down and flatten/shrink as it cures for a few days.

I didn't cross reference the color but it may be the same. I think it will look good with the tan leather interior and base.
