Ok, figured I would post some progress pictures.

I took my Dremel to the transmission suspension area in an effort to make it more realistic.

We may well be a tough crowd, but I am enjoying watching the progress regardless :o)

Looks pretty good to me so far ;) Paint and decal work looks perfect. What type of clear do you plan to use?

You might want to try one of the two part urethane products. I came across a hobby paint that had very nice test results [I have a sample in my shop]. Pretty close to the automotive products I use on my models. I can get you the info tomorrow when I am back in the shop. Best thing about two part is they enhance the color in a good way.

I have heard good things about Gravity Colors. I am waiting on them to get an Arrows A23 orange in stock. I am building a Studio 27 kit of the 2002 beauty, and I want the correct color. I will get some of their 2 part clear. I am trying to get this one finished for a local contest, so I am going to use my tried and true method.

Thank you for the heads up on the Gravity Clear.

OK, clear is sprayed. I still need to spray a flat/dull coat on the CF that is on the rear of the car.

The photos are a little crude so it is hard to judge. Do you wet sand and polish the clear to bring it down to scale?

Yes Pete the pictures are crude. I am taking them on the fly with my iphone. I will break out my good camera, and lighting when I get it complete.

I will let this cure for a week, and then knock it down with some micromesh, and polish.

I assembled the brakes tonight, knocked down some of the gloss to try and make it appear more scale. I painted some of the front and rear wing pieces.
