i would like to seek and kindly request if any fellow members own any ilario models? in particular the earlier ferraris like the 212s 375s 250mm 250 gto? you dont see many of these models around apart from the usual suspects from the other well know manufacturers..
i have never owned any and am curious about them..

This is a set of 375 MM s/n 0490AM in both its color scheme's. Ilario made this set on my request, so needless to say it is one of my collection highlights.
Such a pity (and misjudgement) that Ferrari took his license away.

I also own the 250 GTO Brandon Wang and like it a lot. The built quality is very good and as pointed out here before: Ilario models are handshaped artisan miniatures made in Europe. |

They are handmade, and he made some great models over the years, my experence is to see them in hand before buying. Some or better built than others.
I have several including the 250GTO and the 375MM. These are superb! (no need to repost pics)

The Aga Khan cars are both authentic. Dont have the chassis numbers, but you can find pictures in the internet. |

I'm waiting for my red 250 GTO I bought last week, can't await! For me it's one of the most beautiful GTO's in that scale. Better than BBR... |

375MMs are possibly the best Ferraris Ilario ever built. As for 250 GTO - just look at the wheels. Both front and rear are oversized. As well as wheel arches. Vladimir |

Yes Vladimir, thatīs correct. The bodywork is very good but the wheels are to oversized. I own the dark blue one and i am annoyed about it. |

To Michael:
But why did you buy it? If I'm annoyed by something on a model I simply don't buy... |

Unfortunately, Sascha, for a lot of us it is not quite that simple. We have to rely on photos (which do not always show things like proportions very well), to make a decision about buying. I have bought many models over the years that I have been very disappointed with when they arrived - because the pictures did not represent the models in the same way that it looks when you have them sitting in front of you.
Of course, for me, this one of the good things about Mike's forum here - those who have already seen all these different models are happy to share their opinions, which makes it much easier for me to make a more informed decision over buying a model I have never see before.
