I understand that a number of sets of the Ferrari 1-2-3 at Daytona 1967 were made..... I thought this was a story as I could not find any history on the AMR website. The set was to commemorate the remarkable finish at Daytona of a P4, P4 Spyder and a 412P finishing 1st, 2nd & 3rd....

I thought it was one of the 'holy grails', something of legend and had never seen a set until now.....

A very good friend of mine in France rescued a set after a house fire and sent the set to Jean-Francois Alberca for restoration here is the before and after.....

It's a nice work but philologically incorrect. The models of this set, sold in exclusive by the Equipe Tron, were built by the Remember studio and came with Remember ancillaries. The models should have been restored with those pieces - it would have been possible though. That's a pity.

...the set is also incorrect as the models were "dirty" in race finish condition.

Good work, but as said by david...it would have been better to restore it with authentic parts. Also i miss 'the dirty touch'....

but JFA did a superb job

here's my set ( david, do you remember this one ;-) ) :

Well - I'm happy it went to a good home!
I agree, the set should have been restored following the original features. It lost its originality.

Sorry David , but I don't think like you because JF has saved 90% of the original pieces . Yes, the rhodoid are new LOL . And we can read on the plaquette " maquettes AMR ". For me it is a fabulous coffret .And ,also for Chris ,the set is not finished because
the cars will be dirty in the final ( I asked to JF , not very dirty , it is what I want ) .

The most important thing is that the owner is happy. But considering the amount of work it was a pity that that "10%" of originality was lost as I would have easily been able to provide him with Remember ancillaries.

Great set. Beautiful restauration job. And as David said, as long as the owner is happy the job is a success.

Thanks 250 GTE .... and sure I enjoy the set .Only a least note about original notion , the kits used by Tron were AMR/Annecy Kits , so , why add remember pieces and write " kits AMR " because after , there are not the original AMR kits which are used ;-)))

Goodness, I posted this on the forum with delight as I had not seen this set before.... it is a bit of a 'work in progress' and yet to be 'weathered'.

This is a set rescued from a fire and magnificent in its own right.

As they say 'beauty is in the hands of the beholder'.....

A wonderful job done to date guys
