Hi guys,
I have a 599 GTO on pre order from Mike by make up, but he told me that it might take a while since the 599 is not very polular in the east.

So now my question is: which 599 GTO should I get: the Looksmart or the BBR?
Please advise me.......I haven't seen both yet in real life only on pics....

Thanks!

Mark

Hey Mark, Paolo purchased a white 599 GTO from MR Collection and it is beautiful. He posted pictures here:

I am sure he can comment more about it but from the pictures he posted, it is a stunning example!!

I have 17/24 and I agree with James.
This is the best choice.

I have two issues with the MR:

first is the black strip around the doors.....i fond it too thick

Second is the interruption of the section mounted at the back

Both marked with yellow triangle......

The BBR version looks in this areas better to me so I think I choose the BBR.......

First i have to see the BBR one to see differences between the two models, and is always a matter of personal taste ( i usually prefer MR as shape of the car...even whith the 458 italia...), about the back section is a building defect that i've noticed as i make the photo...in the reality is not so marked....here is the other side photo to make you see that the other is perfect....it's a little mistake that makes me love this car more because is an handbuilt model.

[

For me is a spectacular model.....

This is the right side and as you can see the defect ia absent...

I have both the Looksmart & BBR 599XX's. Although not the GTO, a few differences that have been pointed out to me:

The Looksmart has carbon fibre decals on the front splitter and rear spoiler & diffuser, as well as the dashboard & side mirrors, while the BBR has a a flat grey finish in most/all of these areas. It is a matter of opinion as to which is preferable however the real car has carbon fibre in these areas.

The front headlights on the Looksmart may be a little more accurate in that they should have the same crease (character line) that the front fenders have.

The side sliding windows on the BBR 599XX are nicer in my opinion as they are clear plastic like the real car, not photetched. (The GTO does not hae this type of window, however.

I assume some of the above differences will hold true for the 599 GTO's as well.

They are both very nice models

I bought the looksmart.
It's better in shape and the details.
I don't like the tires on the BBR.
And a big reason for me to choose a looksmart instead of the BBR-concepts is the new, very cheap looking display-case of the BBR's.

I have considered both extensively and am going with the Looksmart as well. I feel the details are more accurate and the wheels look just right.
