I just completed this display with the addition of some new back ground pictures and a few new cars and posted it
on a dedicated 1/18th scale Forum and thought some of you might enjoy seeing it too.

The focal point is the 1967 P4 shelf. The display case was originally used to display Madam Alexander dolls,
obtained when a local toy store went out of business.

Note the 4 X 6 picture behind the Birdcage Maserati model - it was taken right here in Castle Rock Colorado at the Continental
Divide Raceway in 1960, Jim Hall driving his #66 Birdcage several years before he created his Chaparrals.
The Testa Rossa picture was also taken here in Colorado, Danny Collins driving, 1960.

The 1967 shelf

Background pics match Hill's 1961 Ferrari and Gurney's 1967 AAR Eagle modeled in the fore ground.

The bottom shelf

Some close ups:
Love that Testa Rossa

and how about that P4?, arguably the most beautiful sports car - ever

The American produced MK IV, both chassis and engine, a rare combination.
In 1967 Americans produced several top level & winning competitive race cars, Hall's incredibly creative Chaparral, Ford's GT40 MK IV, and
Gurney's F1 Spa winner. We might never see this great a contribution of American motorsport to the world's racing scene again.

and a "teaser" of the 1967 story at the Tifosi's feet. BTW - The Chaparral was a DNF at LeMans in '67.

Cheers and Happy Collecting,
Steve

Hello Steve,
You have an absolutely wonderful collection - some really iconic pieces from both sports and F1 cars - and yes even in white, the P4 sill remains one of the most beautiful cars to do battle on a race track - and sadly '67 was a watershed year for works Ferraris in the world of sports cars.
Many thanks for sharing your beautiful collection Steve,
Cheers,
Regards,
Paul
