Fantastic collection, and awesome display!
Is the front of the cabinets closed?
I would hate the fact dust would come with the models.
Dusting a collection like this is terrifying.
Amazing!
There are a few in there I would love to have..

Thanks for your nice commentsd. Dust? It is not 100% dust proof but it is pretty well protected. There is the shelf above which helps plus each car is protected on all but one side. Given that the collection is quite valuable I would not have them exposed to unreasonable levels of dust but one day when I grow up may build a new fully dust proof display.
ps the collection is a lot more complete than last time around so Jono gave me an excuse to upload a more updated collection |

You would have to have one of the most impressive displays I have ever seen!
I seem to recall either myself or someone else here asking you last time; you had that perspex shelving custom made?
I'm guessing you don't have too many small children around...

that's right Jono, it was custom designed by my wife who's an architect. It started life as book shelves but then we removed the middle shelf and got the perspex display made.
And yep not many little kids around although it is high up anyway so not much scope for grubby little fingers ruining it.... |

Matt, I see you also have the Pinin and the 408....
which brands are they? My 408 is a starter built by a well known dutch builder as well as my AMR pinin......
I captured the most interesting part of my handbuilts in a selfmade book.....feel free to take a look:

that's stunning Mark - what a great idea. This deserves a separate post (if you haven't already done so). Can you turn that into a physical book pretty easily. You and Max are the doyens of model photography.
The Pinin is by ABC Models - yours looks better than mine, at a guess I would say yours is a rate AMR? Re the 408s, my yellow one looks like the same manufacturer as the red one you have, but there is nothing written under the car and finding the box is like a needle in a haystack. The red 408 is by Alezan |

'doyens'???? I do not know what that means, but putting me in the same catagory as Max means a lot to me: Max is my big inspiration and this probably shows in the way
I present my models haha.
Making such a book is quite easy since it is just drag and drop, however the preparation and composing of the pics is rather time-consuming...
But I very much like doing such things :-D
I will photograph the bottom of my 408 and I will mail it to you: perhaps
it could answer your question.... |

Jerry, thanks for the great 166 which arrived in flawless condition. I think I will park it next to its black Heco 166 brother. The problem is that to do so means moving many cars so need to have some time up my sleeve!

Congratulations! Despite modelcars which are of course stunning, I admire this simple, but clever idea of presentation. Really really great.
According to my calculations - 276 models, right?
