Ferrari is the best



It's a bit risky giving advice without having more information but the short answer is yes, start with a very fine wet paper, say 1500 or 2000 grit and test a spot, take the varnish down "level" so that it is all dull, then use a finer grade paper followed with a polish like Tamiya compound. Have a look at my thread on the Graber GTO, I have some tips there.
