all actions back on start.
the ignition cables are to thick!
now juergen got some ignitionwires with a diameter of 0,15mm!
but now the holes in the camcover are to big :-(
now the drillsize = 0,27mm!
this drills are a little expensive and the sharpening (with oilstone), is a real challenge!

Juergen works last days at the engine and the frontpart of the car.

For the first he completed the new ignitionwires. A real challenge was the retaining spring at the injection. The diameter of the wire; 0,12mm!

Trick question:

How you can bring together – the wishbone, antirollbar, steeringbox and rod and adjustable shocks?

Last night we phoned a lot of time about this problem. The model should be steerable!
At this point, it's a real challenge for a modelbuilder. All parts are ready, the steeringbox and the rods in the right position, the antirollbar and the connection to the lower wishbone is aviable. But!!!!!!

How you can mount it!

Simply fantastic workmanship, if you ever decide to produce it as a kit I'll buy one in a nano second. I saw this car race in 1969. Here's some photos from my dad's archives. Enjoy.

If there is anyone, who thought, Jürgen didn't finish the CanAm! NO!!!!!!!
For the first, he had some work in his job (goldsmith) and he had to make a lot of very small parts for the model. It's not rewarding to photograph them.
Juergen had and has a lot of problems while he assemble the model.
Even you work very, very accurate, you'll have some difference in the area of some hundredth milimeter. For example, the rear suspension. There juergen had trouble with the trailingarms. It's not funny, when there is a tilting between left and right. Each eye will identify this difference! For his models it's absolutely unacceptable, when the axle is not rectangular to the wheelcarrier. There he must produce many parts for several times, until it fits. A little joke for the next timewill be the fitting of the rear shock absorber.
The front suspension is easier. More on that soon.
At the pictures, you can't recognize this problems. Juergen say's that this model is much more difficult than the GTO ore the 300 SL!

Today was fitting of the rear axle with shock's! Each moment, Juergen must control and control. All parts must be correct in the length ranging of a tenth milimeter. One of the last problems are the rear vent hoses. Maybe, here he'll use some prefabricated parts.

When you think,............. !
Tuff .... .
The vent hose brings more and more problems.
The wire diameter at the pictur is 0,25mm but the result is too big.
When you seethe pics by JAG, the hose goes in a smooth line from the rear bonnet into the wheelhouse.
Juergen needs a new test!

For the first, juergen built the device of the flexible brakehoses. as the steering is working! So the hoses must be movable!
The other conctructionsite is the other end of the hoses. There they are fixed in the bonnet and there are no pictures of this version. So juergen formed them like it was usual at this time.

the end will arrive soon!
juergen found the screws, for foxing the manifolds and ednpipes!
at the front, the anti-roll bar was allways in the way. this piece is 0,27 mm thick an will places, with his rods, at the base of the shocks.
after a lot of failures, juergen assembled them succsessfully.
