Hi guys,

My next project.
Base in one of Tameo's superkits, some extra details added (and will be added along the progress)

Body parts are etch primed, pink primed, base coat, topcoat, decals and wet topcoat. No polishing was done.
Metal parts were first etch primed, primed, Gloss Black base coat, Alclad metal colors, and finished with oil paint treatment.

Assembly is in progress. Front suspension nearly done, made a start with the engine. Next will be adding wiring in cockpit.
Thanks for looking.

Best regards,
Hugo

Hi Hugo!
Nice pictures - good start.
I like the paintwork!
The body and engine compilation look good either!
Looking forward for pictures of the further developments! :)

Thank you Sandor!

In the meantime I finished front and rear suspension.

Thanks for watching.

Best regards,
Hugo

Hi Hugo - good afternoon!
Very nice work - I like it!!
Particularly like how you accentuated the notches of the engine/ running gears!
Did you used dark tone washes or how did you achieve this effect?
Best regards-
Sandor

Hi Sandor,
Thank you. I'm glad you like it.
Yes, I did use both very dark brown and black oils, depending on the result you're after. Treating the parts this way gives more life and depth (shadow and highlights to the model). I find this more realistic. Oils were done pure (not thinned) and/or using pinwashes, depending on the surface and space.

Best regards,
Hugo

Super work! Looks really great. What primer do you use? Do you run it thru a airbrush?

Sorry for my late reply.
For metal parts I start with metal etch primer, followed by pink primer (both from Tamiya). Yes, for this scale I decant the paint and airbrush it not thinned with my Iwata or H&S airbrush.

Best regards,
Hugo

Finally, after putting this one aside due to other projects, I can call this one done.
I've made an unusual base to present the model. I hope you like it.

Thanks for watching,
Hugo
