Jean-Paul has identified the next 5 Ferrari 250 GTOs he will build based on the AMR kits. He will share build photos but limited to differences from the first 5 GTOs. The next 5 are:
3445 GT – Red with yellow nose – Sebring 63 – Bordeu – Abate

The overall dimension [width] is 1/4" . This is from the original AMR decal sheet.

If you have Ebay stock you may want to sell now, Jono's new auction site just might put them out of business. Seriously though, it will be a nice alternative to the high fee structure. Once it is up and running, Jono and I would welcome feedback on ways to fine tune it.

Oh... my... gosh!!! An alternative to eBay for collectors. What a concept.

YES!!!

And i'm confident Jono will get it done. He has worked miracles with my site.
Ferrarinut Posted - 10/30/2011 : 15:33:02
The auctions ended today and final prices were as follows:
#19 $3750, #23 $3100, #26 $3100, #31 $3500 and #167 $3500.

This was my first attempt at a silent auction format but stay tuned, Jono is working feverishly on a very robust, professional auction page that will be part of the Miniwerks site. Soon I will be able to list consignment models and my own stock via auction format and avoid ebay. Jono has already created a beta test and it appears to be working so far, this should be fun! Stay tuned...

For those of you who are not on my Miniwerks email newsletter distribution list, these are the bidding instructions I sent earlier.

Jean-Paul Magnette GTO Auctions (review and more clarification)
Jean-Paul Magnette has just completed the second batch of 5 Ferrari 250 GTOs. These models are each one-off builds, based on the AMR Series 5000 kits, the most desirable of all AMR GTO kits. These 5 GTO one-offs are the result of thorough research by Jean-Paul to modify the bodies and realize accurate reproductions of the real cars. As such, the build cost is much greater and the kits are very expensive, $595 each. The total investment in each GTO is nearly $2000 so please bid accordingly. Bidding will start at $2000 each. The first batch of 5 GTOs were offered on ebay and closed with an average selling price of $2775, the highest of the 5 was $4100.

Rather than running these over the next 5 weeks on ebay, I am offering them through a silent Miniwerks auction. To place a bid, simply send your bid to my email miniwerks@earthlink.net or miniwerks@gmail.net, please identify which GTO and your maximum bid amount. Your bid will be held until Sunday, October 30th at 12:00 noon California time when the auctions will be closed. I will contact the winners and will post the final results Sunday afternoon. You can place more than one bid, for example you might submit a bid of $2200 today but decide to increase your bid Sunday morning to $2650. Bid increments must be minimum $50. For example, the #31 GTO is currently at $2250, the next bid allowed must be $2300 or greater.

I will post the current high bid amounts on the website at the end of each model listing description. For example there are already four bids placed. Follow this link to see where the current prices show.

Jean-Paul will keep the models in his shop in the event winning bidders are in Europe and the models can ship directly. Payments will be due within 5 days so please do not bid if you are not ready with funds.

My compliments to JPM...these models listed for sale are some of the best I have seen. Your paint is especially PERFECT!

You have set the bench mark my friend.

Jean-Paul has completed the 5 GTOs! Rather than listings these one-off versions on ebay over a 5-week period, I am going to do a Miniwerks auction. I will be sending an email to my customer list announcing these new GTOs and how to place bids. The winning bids will be announced on Sunday October 30th. These will appear on my homepage as well with a link to place bids.

Rear view of the same cars. Once all the small parts – number’s lights , wipers , rectangular fog lights , wire meshs , etc. – are placed, the cars will be finished. See you in a few days for the photographs of the completed models.
