It has come to my attention that ATC model factory in China, whom I briefly worked with a few years ago have commandeered my packaging. They are shipping their 1:43 scale Citroen XM LWB Saloon models in my green presentation boxes, which have my company CMA logo and my "Black Horse Model Collection" name on them. They also may have used my boxes for other non CMA models.

I have nothing at all to do with said Citroen models, or any other models from ATC.

My Siata 208S models are the only CMA items that were produced in the Orient, and of course I encountered numerous problems doing that. So.... with the exception of one production run I had produced in the U.K., ALL other CMA Models, past, present, and future are made in the USA.

Ethics is a word that the Chinese do not know the meaning of. I'm certainly not the first to have been taken advantage of or ripped off by a Chinese based company, and I will certainly not be the last either. I could say a lot more, but what is the point.

A form of flattery we can all live without! Sorry to hear they did this. Aren't they also hacking our Government computer files? Pretty scary stuff!

What is even more sad, is that they (mostly, but not always), cannot see anything wrong with this sort of thing - even if you try to point it out. I guess it is just a different mindset, countless generations of a different way of life, to the western world. Strange, because in many ways, their concept of honor often far exceeds ours...

I feel I should point out, though, that my opinion is only a generalisation and not aimed at any individual.

At least they can claim they have achieved true Communism in something. There is no such thing as intellectual property (it belongs to no one and everyone)...
