I'm looking for some pics of the engine from both sides and if/how the hood articulates. Any help with pics or places to look are appricated. This will be the oldest car I've modeled and looking forward to work on something different.

Interesting! What are using as a base, an old Danhausen kit?

In the only picture I can find of the Sascha with its hood open, here, it appears to hinge (if it even is hinged?), in one flimsy 3-piece panel from low down on the right hand side - seemingly from the chassis rail. However, the few decent quality photos I found of its right side show the hood to be identical looking left to right, so perhaps it was never hinged at all and does indeed come right off when the strap is undone. When EMC did theirs for the Porsche museum, they made the hood removable instead of hinged.

That's the only pic I've seen... It looks like the hood is pivoting on the strap??? Still looking for some engine pics. There were 4 of these cars built. I wonder what color this one from the 1922 Targa Florio was?
