Is the AMR kit for the 1963 Porsche 911 civile a particularly rare kit?

There cant be a 1963 Porsche 911 kit as the car didnt exist at that time. Maybe you mean the 1968 or 1969 911 versions. These are the only vintage 911s from AMR I know in non-racing livery. Dont know if they are rare, but they are not very expensive.

Hello Trossi,

AMR did, in fact, release two Porsche 911 Civile 1963 (the first year of 911 production was 1963) kits in 1981 and 1982 (produced for and sold by Minichamps).

Thanks for the info, very interesting. But it has to be called the 901 then if I am not mistaken. The car was presented as 901 that year.

Good point! The actual Porsche in 1963 was originally designated as a 901 and, as you know, because of some legalities, was then changed to 911. Nevertheless, AMR designated the car as a 911.
